How do I apply for admission in IGNOU?

Any student who has completed their 12th can apply for admission in IGNOU.

1. Online Admission at http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in

2. Offline Admission – Visit the Regional Center (RC) in your area and pick a Prospectus

Brief:

  1. Student Registration – You will have to fill out some of your details like email Id, phone number, name and address etc.
  2. Course Registration – In this section, you would enter the information about your chosen course (Diploma, Certificate, Degree).
  3. Student’s Qualifications verification – As the name suggests, the page will ask for your qualifications details and scanned copies of the respective documents. 10th and 12th certificates are primarily necessary.
  4. Fees Payment and Confirmation – Final step before your admission is confirmed. Do note your registration and application no.s. You shall receive an email and SMS regarding your admission confirmation, and that email is essential, so keep it saved.

  1. Visit the IGNOU website (www.ignou.ac.in) and click on the “Admission” tab.
  2. Select the “Apply Online” option and create an account by providing your personal and contact details.
  3. Choose the program you wish to apply for and fill in the required information in the online application form.
